Position States

The market is active and trading. You can:
  • Hold and wait for resolution
  • Buy more shares to increase position

Understanding P&L

Your profit and loss is calculated in real-time: Unrealized P&L (open positions): 
P&L = (Current Price - Avg Entry Price) × Quantity
Realized P&L (after selling or resolution): 
P&L = Proceeds - Cost Basis - Fees
  • Bought 100 YES shares at 0.40=0.40 = 40 cost
  • Current YES price: $0.55
  • Current value: $55
  • Unrealized P&L: +$15 (+37.5%)
If you sell now (0.5% fee on 55=55 = 0.275):
  • Realized P&L: 55−55 - 0.275 - 40=+40 = +14.725
